Working out with a personal trainer is the most surefire way to get in shape and stay in shape, but what if you don’t want to join a NYC gym?
You don’t have to waste money on a gym membership at NYSC, Equinox, David barton Gym or the like. Nor do you have to waste time traveling there or navigating your way around the crowd trying to get a proper workout in. The best alternative is to workout in your apartment building gym with an NYC in home personal trainer.
There are many residential apartment buildings in New York City that have their own private fitness training studios, workout rooms or full on mini gyms equipped with free weights, benches, cardiovascular machines and everything you’d need to get a great workout right in the convenience of your own home.
If you have a gym, training studio or workout room in your apartment building you can have a private in home personal trainer come to work with you. It saves you the travel time and membership fees of NYSC, Equinox, David Barton Gym, Crunch and the like. Plus, the quality of personal training you’ll receive from a private or independent personal trainer is typically superior to that of the health club trainer. Gyms are sales driven because of their overhead and can’t make much of a profit on the best trainers around. Nor will highly credentialed professional career trainers settle for a small cut. The entry level or lower quality trainers will settle for a lesser cut inside the big box gyms. The best personal trainers in NYC mostly work as independent trainers. They work with clients in home at their apartment building gyms or at a privately owned gym or studio for independent trainers. I also work and with a number of these gyms and studios throughout Manhattan as well. These gyms and studios include Lift, Work Train Fight, Hanson fitness, and Mid City Gym just to name a few. I have a good working relationship with these gyms and if these are close by and you wanted to train there that is another convenient option to work with a higher quality trainer, like me.
Some of the New York City residential building gyms I’ve worked in like the William Beaver House at 15 William St. downtown and the Element in Hell’s kitchen area have all the health and fitness amenities of a large gym like an aerobics studio, basketball court, or racquetball court. pool, showers, locker-room and sauna. Others are fully equipped fitness training studios like 95 Wall, located near the top floor, providing a more pleasant view, and roof access for more scenic and possible outdoor roof-top workouts. Others are quaint, quiet, private access workout rooms like at the Magellan in Midtown or the Cauldwell on the Upper East Side.
No matter what the size. every Manhattan apartment building gym, studio, or workout room I’ve trained clients in had all the necessary exercise equipment and space to give the client a highly effective, results oriented training session. More effective workouts with a private personal trainer combined with the time and money saving convenience of training in your own home make working out in your apartment building gym with a private trainer an exceptional option to personal training at a NYC health club.
